For banks and financial institutions, potential investors, as well as supervisory bodies, financial analyses and prognoses or selected areas of operations of a company constitute the basic tool for evaluation of its financial condition.

Financial analysis and prognoses presents in a numerical and graphic way the most important economic and financial parameters of a given venture and a company executing it. The goal of analysis is to present a full economic diagnosis of a business entity for the current period, while the goal of prognosis is to examine the impact of planned investments on entity's standing in future periods.

Adequately prepared financial analysis and prognosis provide an in-depth evaluation of economic purpose of a planned venture. For this reason it constitutes a significant and objective supplement of the descriptive part of a business part.
